Underground services are located (Info-Excavation), post positions are marked, and the layout is set according to property lines and municipal regulations.

Installation
We dig post holes 4 feet below the frost line, pour the concrete, mount the aluminum posts and secure the horizontal panels. Aluminum hardware all the way down the line.

Final inspection
We inspect every section and every fastener, check the alignment and make sure everything is straight and solid before we leave.

Zen fence: your questions
Everything you want to know about Zen aluminum fences — materials, privacy, colours and installation.
Ornamental has vertical bars — it's open and decorative. The Zen has horizontal slats that offer more privacy while still letting light through. Both are aluminum, but the look and function are different.
How much privacy does a Zen fence provide?
The horizontal slats block direct line of sight while letting air and light through. It's a good middle ground between a fully opaque fence and an open one. If you want more coverage, we can also tighten the slat spacing.
What colours are available?
Black, white, charcoal grey and several other finishes. The paint is factory-baked directly onto the aluminum — it doesn't peel and doesn't fade. We show you the available options with your quote.
Does it hold up against wind?
Yes. The spacing between the slats lets wind pass through instead of blocking it like a solid wall. The aluminum frame is solid and the posts are set 4 feet below the frost line with concrete. It's built to stay put.
How long does installation take?
Two days minimum. We pour the concrete on day one and let it cure. The next day, we mount the posts and panels. For larger lots, it can take three to four days.
